Adel and EDP open registration for PJER LGBTQIAP+ Opportunities

Registration is open for another class of the Rural Young Entrepreneur Program (PJER) with a focus on promoting diversity. LGBTQIAP+ young people aged between 18 e 32 years, who have completed high school and reside in Caucaia, Fortress or São Gonçalo do Amarante/CE. Twenty (20) people will be selected for the PJER LGBTQIAP+ Opportunities. The initiative is supported by the Edp, administrator of the UTE Pecém. The socioproductive inclusion of these young people is a critical point today in rural areas and entrepreneurship is an alternative for them to have autonomy and to play protagonist roles in their own stories and their communities.

The training includes a course with workload of 40 credit/hours, accomplished totally at a distance, with synchronous moments, This is, all together in a virtual room and asynchronous activities, where participants can deepen their knowledge through complementary content in different formats.

Composed of three modules: (1) My world; (2) The world in society and (3) The world out there, the course will work from self-knowledge, identity building, citizenship, lgbtqiap+ population rights, to strategies of protagonism and entrepreneurship of business and social impact.

About the project

Since 2018, a Adel has been acting to promote socio-productive inclusion of LGBTQIAP+ youth, as it approaches the reality of this population, mainly from rural youth. Adel recognizes that the challenges of LGBTQIAP+ youth go beyond the scope of work and income.

It is necessary to train a generation of LGBTQIAP+ young people who are community leaders able to build a ethics of diversity, social inclusion, cultural and economic. The young people of the LGBTQIAP+ population formed by the Program already work in various spaces of governance in the territory, positively influencing local agendas.
